About The Book

The Finder Saga is a novel posted in blog format. It is set in a fictional city in the not too distant future following the Armageddon Event.

In the days before the event, a mysterious group called the Watchers spoke before the world, somehow appearing on all television and radio stations around the globe.  They claimed they were magicians, wizards come out of their self imposed hiding to warn of the plague.  They claimed to want to save as many people as they could.  They were denounced as religious lunatics and frauds.  They turned away form mankind and disappeared without warning.

Shortly afterwards, an outbreak called the Genesis Plauge spread quickly throughout the world.  It had a 95% mortality rate, but death was not final.  The deceased rose to spread the plague, attacking viciously and often fatally anyone who they could find.

It was the end of days, the undead come back to feast upon the living.  The world as we know it could not last.

During the outbreak, world governments clashed over how to deal with the rising death toll and the threat of the undead.  War broke out between nations stressed to the breaking point by the plague and the untiring undead. Weapons of of mass destruction were unleashed, both chemical and nuclear.  The planet was laid to waste, and within weeks, almost all of humanity was gone.

Now, only a few years later, the remains of mankind struggle to survive.  The undead remain an ever present threat.  Mutated animals and humans alike stalk the crumbling remains of the city.  The secured compounds of humanity, the last fortified bastions of relative safety,  have turned to a new religion of wizardry.  The Watchers have returned, custodians of an ancient magic.  Their secrets remain their own though they offer protection to those they guard.

This is the tale of Justin Finder, one of the survivors of Armageddon and a child of the ruins of mankind.
